10:30am-4:30pm Tue-Sun rest of year) On the traffic circle at the heart of town. A second of-
fice in the bus terminal opens seasonally.
Getting There & Around
From La Paloma's bus terminal, 500m northwest of the center, COT, Cynsa and Rutas
del Sol all run frequently to Montevideo (UR$344, four hours). There's also frequent loc-
al service to La Pedrera (UR$43, 15 minutes). Rutas del Sol runs twice daily to the Cabo
Polonio turnoff (UR$86, 45 minutes) and once daily to Punta del Diablo (UR$172, two
hours). For other destinations, take a bus to the departmental capital of Rocha (UR$47,
30 minutes, frequent), where hourly buses ply the coastal route in both directions.
