From Punta's bus terminal ( 4249-4042; cnr Calle 32 & Bulevar Artigas) , dozens of daily
buses ply the coastal route to Montevideo. COT also has two daily northeast-bound buses
to Rocha, the transfer point for La Paloma, La Pedrera and Cabo Polonio.

TO/FROM THE AIRPORT

del Este's airport (UR$160, 20 minutes), leaving 1½ hours before each flight.

From December through March, bus 14, operated by Codesa ( 4266-9129;
www.codesa.com.uy ) , runs from Punta's bus terminal via the eastern beaches to La Barra
