In summer Punta is jammed with people, and prices are astronomical; even hostels
double their prices in January. In winter it's a ghost town, and places that stay open lower
their prices considerably. During peak season, even places classified as midrange tend to
charge top-end rates. Off-season visitors will find prices more in keeping with standard
ranges.
