the boat. “Oh my God, what a bust!” I thought. “If the harbor authorities see this, I'll be in
for it!”
I quickly jumped into the dinghy, rowed out to the offending cans, and scooped them
aboard. There were just a few of them, and I soon figured that they would be popping up
unexpectedly from now on until they were all blown. I looked about for any more evidence
and, seeing none, went below for some much needed coffee.
I was busy making coffee when I heard a little tapping on the boat and a feminine voice
was calling out, “Good morning Déjà vu!”
Upon looking out, I saw a very young looking Marilyn Monroe smiling up at me with a
dazzling array of pearly, white teeth. My heart skipped a beat. “Well, good morning to you!
I thought I heard someone outside!”
“Yes, I saw you come in yesterday and noticed from your flag you were also from South
Africa. We are too; I just came by to say hallo; that's our boat over there.” She pointed to a
fairly large cream colored cutter behind Déjà vu.
“Would you like to come aboard and have a coffee? I just made some.”
“Sure, I don't think my dad would mind.”
She nimbly climbed up over the toe rail, as I took her dinghy painter and made it fast to the
taffrail. “I'm Darleen.” She offered me her hand, smiling a bright, dazzling smile.
“Hi, I could have sworn you were Marilyn Monroe!”
She laughed, “Oh no, but I've been told that I look just like her whoever she is!”
I looked at her again and noticed that she was quite short and stocky, with very strong,
shapely legs that were covered in fine, golden down. She had a powerful body, with a firm,
medium sized bust and strong arms and shoulders. She had short, curly, blonde hair, wide,
friendly green eyes, and a cute snub nose. Her youthful face was adorned with freckles and
her wide smile, dazzling teeth, and thick lips gave her an appealing, strong look. She was
definitely very attractive in a tomboy way, and I smiled in appreciation.
“Marilyn Monroe was a famous Hollywood actress who was probably the sexiest woman
of her time.”
“I know she was an actress, but I've never seen her movies.”
“You are with your father you said; is your mom with you too?”
