Burrow that the Warthog Charged Out of
I was once charged by a warthog coming out of an ant bear hole, I had taken a flash
photograph over the burrow (just in case a warthog was inside) having been told from the
tracks that an ant bear was in it, but instead the warthog charged out and blinded me in the dust
cloud.
Warthogs are known to take on lions, elephants or wild dogs, though interestingly wild dogs,
as formidable killers as they are they have never been documented as attacking a human in the
wild. Gordon Cummings described coming across a pack of 200 strong and apart from them
looking at him curiously, never threatened him or his livestock.
