There are many more African animals, however, that can kill you even when not challenged,
but not considered to be trophies. Of the Terrible Twelve, I have been charged or chased by
the elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, and hippo, but not to the extent that my life was seriously in
danger.
Then there are the ones that could have been a life threatening experience: mambas,
crocodiles, and cows on the road, accidents, hyenas and camping at night.
