Description: It is a small herbaceous, annual plant. Stems are slender, green to
reddish green, with creeping stolons. Leaves are green, and reniform with
rounded apices. Flowers are pinkish to red in color, borne in small, rounded
bunches (umbels) near the surface of soil. They are small and hermaphoditic
with a size of 3 mm and with six corolla lobes.
Compounds and activities: The levels of phenolic and lavonoid compounds
were 2.86 g/100 g and 0.361 g/100 g, respectively. Its aqueous extract (50 g/L)
showed elevated DPPH scavenging activity with an IC 50 value of 31.25 µg/ml.
The aqueous extract showed a promising activity against mouse melanoma
