It's no secret that Pokémon is one of the most popular and long-lasting game series of all
time, so that the hardcore modding community for Minecraft has gone out and recreated
Pokémon inside of their own game is no big shock to anyone. Pixelmon is just that modpack,
and to answer your questions: Yes, there are Pokémon wandering around; yes, you can catch
them; yes, you can fight them with trainers and other players; and yes, it all works.
Though you can just load this one up through the Feed the Beast launcher and play in your
own world, we'd also suggest jumping on one of the official servers (just go to multiplayer
instead of single player, and they're listed) where people have actually gone so far as to build
functioning Pokémon Centers, gyms and even the Elite Four! Plus, you can show off your
sick Mewtwo and find hundreds of other players to battle with. This one's a treat, whether
you're a longtime Pokémon fan or just like the idea of a bunch of adorable battle creatures
wandering around your Minecraft home.
