Mods are awesome: that, we think most everyone would agree on. However, since mods add
so much new stuff and change up the game so extensively, it can be super overwhelming to
fire one up and see all this new stuff you don't know how to mess with. Many mods come
with little in-game Books that you can open up and read, but trying to remember all the
things you read and switching back and forth between them and actually playing is pretty
darn hard, even for the best Crafters.
That's why we suggest that, if you're looking to actually learn how to do some of the amaz-
ing things in mods like all of the Tinkers' mods, Thaumcraft, Thermal Expansion or Applied
Energistics, check out the Agrarian Skies modpack. Actually a super, super modded ver-
sion of Skyblock (see the Mini-Games section) and available on the FTB Launcher, Agrari-
an Skies puts you in a world where you have very little to start with, but all of the things
you need to eventually build everything in the mods. It uses a very well-done and inventive
questing system to teach you how to do a ton of the stuff in these mods by making them
goals, and it does so in a way that's both hugely entertaining and also quite challenging. If
we had to pick, Agrarian Skies would be our very favorite modpack of all.
Pixelmon contains almost all of your favorite Pokémon, just wandering around and waiting to be captured.
