The great Hypixel's personally hosted server,
hypixel.net
is another quality competition/PvP
server and one of the more frequented servers online. Since it is run by one of the bigger
personalities in the game, you'll often find “celeb” players here as well as a very well-up-
dated list of mini-games and competitions. Plus, because of the quality of folks involved,
everything in it runs very smoothly and looks incredible! In fact, many mini-games were ac-
tually created specifically for this server, like the Blitz game we profile in our Mini-Games
chapter of this topic. Hypixel's home is a benchmark server for other servers, in that it's
where trends are born and server methods are perfected, so why not spend a little time at one
of the web's best locations?
A personal favorite of this author, Lichcraft is a server that has just about every major mode and does all
of it well.
