like the servers and mods that users have built around this game. What
started as a simple mining game has gone places Notch likely never
dreamed of through the work of the intrepid creators on the modding
and server designing fronts. In fact, when most players first discover
either of these communities, they tend to feel like they're playing an
entirely different game, though the blocky graphics tell them that it's
still Minecraft.
It might look like Minecraft, but these servers and mods take Minecraft's unbeatable adapt-
ability and turn the game into just about anything that creators can think of. Want to play
an MMO version of Minecraft, complete with skill trees, classes, a giant world and quests?
That's out there. Feel like a silly Smash Bros. style brawl of quickness and chaos? Definitely
