5. Go underground quickly.
Once you've gathered whatever food you can on the surface
and have plenty of Wood, Crafting Tables and basic tools, you need to get underground and
start hunting ores and Spiders ASAP. The best option is to find caves and follow them, or
safely go down a ravine, but if you can't find any of these quickly, go ahead and just start
digging down in a staircase. You need ore, because as our next step says…
6. Gear is essential.
Gear is what will make you win or lose UHC. Outside of ambushes
and accidents, the people with the best gear almost always win the match, so it is your num-
ber one priority. Gear is important in the following order, with the most important at the the
top, and you would do well to focus on acquiring each in this order:

Stone Sword and tools
•
Armor (the best kind you can make)
•
Food
•
Better Sword, and Bow and Arrows (equally important)
•
Golden Apples
