TNT Run
Type: No Weapon Spleef Variant
A game that seems easy, and is another simple one to understand, but which will put your
jumping and navigational skills to the test like few others. TNT Run has been around for a
long time, and it involves running around in an arena on a flat surface which will fall out
underneath you as you go. That means that if you step on a block, you better move quick
because soon that block will drop and you'll fall to the next layer below.
The idea is to keep moving around and create holes in the ground as you move that other
players fall into. Since these players are creating more holes themselves, you'll need to keep
on your toes and plan out where you run, deftly jumping any holes that you can't run around.
When you fall to the next layer, you'll do the same thing there, and the player that is able
to keep from falling through the final layer of the arena and into the darkness below is the
winner.
Some players get a little confused about TNT Run's name, as there are no explosions in
this mini-game. The reason the game is named after the 'splodiest block in Minecraft is that
there is a block of TNT under each block that makes up the layers of the arena. The game
has been specially designed so that walking on the Sand or Gravel blocks that make up the
floor of each layer causes the TNT to activate beneath the Sand or Gravel, causing the Sand
or Gravel to fall, though without causing an explosion. Essentially it's just a trick to get the
game to work, so no need to worry about getting blown up in this mini-game. Just worry
about where you're going to put your feet next!
As you can see from these images, the maps in Wizards get absolutely wrecked by the end of a match,
which is a major part of the fun.
