Paintball
Type: One-Shot-Kill Deathmatch
If Factions seem a little too much commitment and effort for your Minecrafting session,
Paintball is on the opposite side of the spectrum of mini-games in that it's quick, easy and
doesn't require much knowledge of the ins and outs of Minecraft.
Paintball is pretty easy to pick up: all you do is run around a map trying to hit players with
“paintballs,” which are actually just Snowballs under a different name. If you hit a play-
er once, they are immediately warped back to spawn and you and your team get points.
The first team to get a certain amount of points or the team with the most points after a set
amount of time wins. On some servers getting “kills” earns you coins that you can use to
purchase powerups for either you or your team, like a triple-shot or reducing the amount of
deaths your team has.
And that's it! Pretty simple, no? Don't be fooled though; while picking up a game of Paint-
ball is easy and you're probably going to get at least a few kills in every match you play,
there are some players that have taken this little mini-game rather seriously indeed and can
hit other players with ease from far across the map. With practice, though, you can become
one of these skillshot aficionados and start to get your name in the Top 3 of the scoresheet
with regularity.
