Resource/Texture Packs
Where skins change the look of your character, resource packs, also called texture packs,
change the look of the actual blocks in your game. They can also change things like the
way Water looks and the way the sky and even the sun and moon appear, making them very

How to Change
PC/Mac- Mojang has included a nice little shortcut in Minecraft to make adding a new re-
source pack quite easy. Simply start up the game, and then go to Options in the menus. Click
on Resource Packs, and then hit the Open Resource Pack Folder button. You'll then need
to either quit the game or turn Fullscreen to OFF in the Video settings, and you will see a
window open that is the folder named Resource Packs. Then, simply copy-paste the .zip re-
source pack files that you want to add into the folder!
Changing resource packs is simply a matter of navigating to the right menu after you instal them.
Even the menus can look quite different when you load up a resource pack.
Minecraft almost looks like a totally new game with packs, so experiment and find one that makes your
