In March 1977, Williams' presidential ride at
MCM
was as
rough and rocky as Berg's had been almost two years earlier.
The company debt was huge and a threat of yet another desktop
APL
computer materializing from
IBM
hung over
MCM
. Even
on the Canadian scene,
MCM
was no longer the sole manufac-
turer of small computer systems. In 1976, Murray Bell's Dyna-
logic Corporation of Ottawa introduced its first microcomputer,
the Dynalogic Microcomputer System. The Dynalogic com-
puter used an advanced Motorola 6800 microprocessor, had
two built-in disk drives for external storage of programs and
data, and could be programmed in a dialect of
BASIC
called
Dyna
BASIC
.
