In-Depth Information
Vanichchinchai (2012) conducted a study about
the relationship between employee involvement,
partnership management and supply perform-
ance in Thailand automotive industry found that
employee involvement has significantly positive
impact on firm's supply performance and external
partnership management. At the same time, exter-
nal partnership management intervene the posi-
tive relationship between employee involvement
and firm's supply performance. Thus, from sup-
ply chain and quality management perspectives,
barriers pertinent to employee issues like fear of
change, internal resistance, lack of participation,
inadequate skills and knowledge, and lack of a
common perspective should be changed.

3 METHODOLOGY
A quantitative approach will be used to collect and
analyze data. Grand Bluewave Hotel, Shah Alam
will be chosen as this organization has received sev-
eral quality achievement awards and already ISO
90001 certified (Crescent Rating, 2013). Operational
employees from various department and functions
that have been working for at least three months in
this hotel and not holding top management position
will be used as the sample. Dual language (English
and Malay) questionnaire with a cover letter will be
distributed to all respondents. This study will use
the descriptive statistic and multiple regressions to
answer the research question. Statistical Program
for Social Analysis (SPSS), version 20 will be used
for data coding, processing and analyzing.
4 CONCLUSION
Practically, the outcomes of this study will give the
hotel management team some advantages to plan
and organize for future quality practices in hotel.
The findings from this study would also provide
significant knowledge and information on quality
practices and implementation within the opera-
tional workforce in creating better work environ-
ment in the workplace. Theoretically, the finding
from this study also should provide academicians
with valuable information on the current and the
real situation of the hospitality industry regard-
ing quality implementation, particularly from
the employees' perspective, thus eliminating gaps
between literatures and academic findings.
