and music were exposed to the tourists compared
to the other type of heritage. These problems lead
to the loss of Malay cultural heritage in Melaka.
Yet, as Melaka is receiving the highest number of
tourists' arrival, this legacy should be safeguarded
by introducing it as a new attraction in Melaka.
However, the Malay cultural heritages have many
ethnics that caused difficulties to patent and to be
pointed out as a world heritage. In addition, the
competition from neighbouring countries discour-
aged the local practitioner to continue the legacy
of conserving the original Malay heritage culture.
