Dunsmuir's Amtrak station is the only train stop in Siskiyou County and it is not staffed.
Buy tickets for the north-south Coast Starlight on board the train, but only after making
reservations by phone or via the website. The Coast Starlight runs once daily to Redding
($28, 1¾ hours), Sacramento ($38, 5¾ hours) and Oakland ($42, eight hours).

The STAGE bus includes Dunsmuir in its local I-5 corridor route, which also serves Mt
Shasta City ($2.50, 20 minutes), Weed ($4, 30 minutes) and Yreka ($6, 1¼ hours) several
times each weekday. The bus runs on Dunsmuir Ave.
