Pie's the thing at this roadside bakery - and yum, that flaky crust. Apple is predictably
good, especially in autumn, but the blueberry is our fave, made better with vanilla ice
cream.

Inside a converted brick-walled warehouse, Forchetta Bastoni has two kitchens that make
wildly different food - Southeast Asian and Italian. Pick a cuisine, then be seated on one
side or the other for wood-fired pizzas, pastas and roasted meats; or noodles, rice bowls
and curries. If you can't decide, sit at the happening bar.

A rustic roadhouse and tavern north of downtown (next door to Mom's Apple Pie), Red's
smokes its own bacon and pastrami, bakes its own bread and serves simple, quality Amer-
ican cooking, using locally sourced ingredients in dishes like fried chicken and waffles,
pulled-pork sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, and classic mac-n-cheese. Local beer and
wine. Live music Wednesday and Friday evenings.

Inside a converted 1903 railroad station, Hopmonk's serves 76 varieties of beer - served in
