A rustic country-French bistro downtown, La Note serves excellent breakfasts. Wake up to
a big bowl of café au lait, paired with oatmeal raspberry pancakes or lemon gingerbread
pancakes with poached pears. Anticipate a wait on weekends.

cuisine. It's in a lovely Arts and Crafts house in the Gourmet Ghetto, and you can choose
to pull all the stops with a prix-fixe meal downstairs, or go less expensive and a tad less
formal in the cafe upstairs. Reservations accepted one month ahead.
