Paramount Theatre THEATER

This massive 1931 art deco masterpiece shows classic films a few times each month and is
also home to the Oakland East Bay Symphony ( www.oebs.org ) and Oakland Ballet

10am on the first and third Saturdays of the month.
Grand Lake Theatre CINEMA

In Lake Merritt, this 1926 beauty lures you in with its huge corner marquee (which some-
times displays left-leaning political messages) and keeps you coming back with a fun bal-
