Sausalito is great for bicycling , whether for a leisurely ride around town, a trip across the
Golden Gate Bridge or a longer-haul journey. From the ferry terminal, an easy option is to
head south on Bridgeway Blvd, veering left onto East Rd toward the Bay Area Discovery
Museum. Another nice route heads north along Bridgeway Blvd, then crosses under Hwy
101 to Mill Valley. At Blithedale Ave, you can veer east to Tiburon; a bike path parallels
parts of Tiburon Blvd.

On a nice day, Richardson Bay is irresistible. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards can be
rented here, near the Bay Model Visitor Center. No experience is necessary, and lessons
and group outings are also available.
Also on offer are guided kayaking excursions around Angel Island from $75 per person,
including overnight camping ($125). Tours include equipment and instructions. May
through October is the best time to paddle.
