Purchase tickets at train stations, by phone or online (in advance for the cheapest prices).
Fares depend on the day of travel, the route, the type of seating etc. Fares may be slightly
higher during peak travel times (eg summer). Round-trip tickets typically cost the same as
two one-way tickets.
Usually seniors over 62 years and students with an ISIC or Student Advantage Card re-
ceive a 15% discount, while up to two children aged two to 15 who are accompanied by an
adult get 50% off. AAA members save 10%. Special promotions can become available any-
time, so check the website or ask when making reservations.
