About 5 miles south of central Borrego Springs, San Diego families have been coming to
this resort for generations. It had seen hard times and was closed earlier this decade, but
it's reopened and is again the region's grandest stay. It has 67 rooms and casitas on 42 land-
scaped acres with tennis, 26 swimming pools, bocce and croquet courts, as well as a spa
and gourmet restaurant.
