BICYCLE
Central Palm Springs is pancake-flat, and more bike lanes are being built all the time.
Many hotels have loaner bicycles.

BUS
buses travel around the valley, albeit slowly. Bus 111 links Palm Springs with Palm Desert
(one hour) and Indio (1½ hours) via Hwy 111. Buses have air-con, wheelchair lifts and a
bicycle rack. Cash only (bring exact change).
CAR & MOTORCYCLE
Though you can walk to most sights in downtown Palm Springs, you'll need a car to get
around the valley. Major rental-car companies have airport desks.
