In-Depth Information
Many downtown Palm Springs hotels provide free airport transfers. Otherwise, a taxi to
downtown Palm Springs costs about $12 to $15. If you're staying in another Coachella
Valley town, rides on shared shuttle vans, such as Skycap Shuttle ( 760-272-5988;
www.skycapshuttle.com ) , will likely be more economical. Fares depend on distance and re-
servations are advised. SunLine bus 24 stops by the airport and goes most of (though, frus-
tratingly, not all of) the way to downtown Palm Springs.
BICYCLE
Central Palm Springs is pancake-flat, and more bike lanes are being built all the time.
