The most thrilling part of the main festival, an experience that will leave you rubbing your
eyes in disbelief, is the Pageant of the Masters performance, where human models blend
seamlessly into re-creations of famous paintings. Tickets are hard to get unless you order
them more than six months in advance, but you may be able to snag last-minute cancella-
tions.

Most lodging in Laguna is on busy Pacific Coast Hwy (called Coast Hwy here), so expect
traffic noise; bring earplugs or ask for a room away from the road.
