Bowers Museum & Kidseum
The under-the-radar Bowers Museum ( GOOGLE MAP ; 714-567-3600, 877-250-8999;
www.bowers.org ; 2002 N Main St, Santa Ana; Tue-Fri adult/child 6-17yr & senior $13/10, Sat & Sun
$15/12, special-exhibit surcharge varies; 10am-4pm Tue-Sun) explodes onto the scene every
year or two with a remarkable exhibit that reminds LA-centric museum-goers not to get
too smug. The museum's permanent exhibits are impressive too, a rich collection of pre-
Columbian, African, Oceanic and Native American art.
General admission tickets to the Bowers Museum include entry to the family-focused
Kidseum ( GOOGLE MAP ; 714-480-1520; 1802 N Main St, Santa Ana; admission $3, child under

The museums are 6 miles southeast of Disneyland, off I-5 in Santa Ana. Admission is
free on the first Sunday of each month. Public parking in nearby lots costs $2.
