Getting There & Away
AIR
The main LA gateway is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX; GOOGLE MAP ;
310-646-5252; www.lawa.org/lax ; 1 World Way; ) , a U-shaped, bilevel complex with nine ter-
minals linked by the free Shuttle A leaving from the lower (arrival) level. Cabs and hotel
and car-rental shuttles stop here as well. A free minibus for disabled people can be ordered
by calling 310-646-6402. Ticketing and check-in are on the upper (departure) level. The
hub for most international airlines is the Tom Bradley International Terminal.
Domestic flights operated by Alaska, American, Southwest, United and other major US
airlines also arrive at Bob Hope/Burbank Airport , which is handy if you're headed for
Hollywood, downtown or Pasadena.
