before it was reimagined into a place where you can get broccoli roasted with bacon, Arc-
tic char crudo with grapefruit and jalapenos, seared squid with curried chickpeas, and a
slow-roasted duck leg. The cocktails rock.

Osteria Mozza is all about fine dining crafted from market fresh, seasonal ingredients, but
being a Mario Batali joint you can expect adventure (think: squid-ink chitarra freddi with
Dungeness crab, sea urchin and jalapeno) and consistent excellence. Reservations are re-

The stucco exterior of this converted studio is a horror show, but inside all is dark and
moody. More importantly, the kitchen churns out plates of house-smoked trout, brick-roas-
ted chicken, potato gnocchi cooked in bacon lard, tarragon and cream, and a 1lb lobster
roll!
