At this family-run joint on the Embarcadero, folks line up for batter-fried fish and chips
and killer garlic fries. You'll have to dodge beggar birds on the outdoor deck. Inside there's

A few blocks uphill from the Embarcadero, in the less touristy downtown area.
Getting There & Around
From San Luis Obispo, RTA ( 805-541-2228; www.slorta.org ) bus 12 travels hourly on
weekdays and a few times daily on weekends along Hwy 1 to Morro Bay ($2.50, 25
minutes). Three to five times daily, bus 15 heads north to Cayucos ($2, 15 minutes), Cam-
bria ($2, 35 minutes) and Hearst Castle ($2, 55 minutes).
From late May through early October, a trolley (single-ride $1, day pass $3) loops
around the waterfront, downtown and north Morro Bay, operating varying hours (no ser-
vice Tuesday to Thursday).
