Sleeping
Santa Cruz does not have enough beds to satisfy demand: expect outrageous prices at peak
times for nothing-special rooms. Places near the beach boardwalk run the gamut from
friendly to frightening. If you're looking for a straightforward motel, cruise Ocean St in-
land or Mission St (Hwy 1) near the UCSC campus.
