Sleeping
Mammoth B&Bs and inns rarely sell out midweek, when rates tend to be lower. During ski
season, reservations are a good idea on weekends and essential during holidays. Many
properties offer ski-and-stay packages. Condo rentals often work out cheaper for groups.
Stop by the Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center or check its website for a full list of
campgrounds, dispersed free camping locations (don't forget to pick up a free but mandat-
ory fire permit) and public showers.
