Towards Yosemite, there are a handful of first-come, first-served campgrounds along
Tioga Rd (Hwy 120) and Lee Vining Creek, most with vault toilets and about half with

Think vistas. This is the only motel on the east side of the highway, and the views from
some of the rooms are phenomenal. Recently remodeled, its boutique-style rooms have
comfortable beds with thick duvets and swank new bathrooms.
Tioga Pass Resort CABINS

Founded in 1914 and located 2 miles east of Tioga Pass, this resort attracts a fiercely loyal
clientele to its basic and cozy cabins beside Lee Vining Creek. The thimble-sized cafe
(lunch $8 to $11, dinner $20) serves excellent fare all day at a few tables and a broken
horseshoe counter, with a house pastry chef concocting dozens of freshly made desserts.
