The park's most extensive market sells all kinds of groceries, camping supplies and
snacks. Inside, a fast-food snack bar slings burgers and grilled sandwiches and dishes up
breakfast. The adjacent deli is a tad more upscale and healthy, with focaccia sandwiches,
veggie wraps and picnic salads.

About 11.5 miles east of Giant Forest on the High Sierra Trail, this tent hotel is ideal for
exploring the backcountry without lugging your own camping gear. Rates include
showers, dinner and breakfast, as well as bedding and towels. Bookings start at 7am every
January 2 and sell out almost immediately, though you should always check for cancella-
tions.
