Getting There & Away
CAR
Yosemite is accessible year round from the west (via Hwys 120 W and 140) and south
(Hwy 41), and in summer also from the east (via Hwy 120 E). Roads are plowed in winter,
but snow chains may be required at any time. In 2006 a mammoth rockslide buried part of
Hwy 140, 6 miles west of the park; traffic there is restricted to vehicles under 45ft.
