Badger Pass Cross-Country Center & Ski School SKIING

Located in the Badger Pass Ski Area, this school offers beginner-lesson-plus-rental pack-
ages ($46), equipment rentals ($25), snow-camping rentals and guided tours. The center
also runs overnight trips to Glacier Point Ski Hut , a rustic stone-and-log cabin. Rates, in-
cluding meals, are $350/120 guided/self-guided for one night or $550/240 for two nights.
Ostrander Ski Hut SKIING

More experienced skiers can trek 10 miles out to the popular hut on Ostrander Lake, oper-
ated by Yosemite Conservancy. The hut is staffed all winter and open to backcountry ski-
ers and snowshoers for $35 to $55 per person, per night on a lottery basis. See the website

Curry Village Ice Rink SKATING

A delightful winter activity is taking a spin on the outdoor rink, where you'll be skating
under the watchful eye of Half Dome.

scheduled tours of all kinds, plus custom trips available.
First-timers often appreciate the year-round, two-hour Valley Floor Tour (per adult/
child $25/13) run by DNC Parks & Resorts ( www.yosemitepark.com ) , which covers the
valley highlights.
