(1980) reported an anecdotal fatal case from “F.
Muller.” The victim was reportedly bitten on
the tongue. This case is not included in the tally
here. Although envenomations by T. capensis are
rare, the hemorrhagic diathesis may be as severe
as that of D. typus . See Section 4.3 for further
discussion}
