coagulation” without any supporting laboratory
investigations that are required for a diagnosis of
coagulopathy. These cases are not included in those
tallied here. Weldon and Mackessy (2010) also
communicated an anecdotal case that described
many of the aforementioned signs/symptoms as
well as “arthralgia.” An A. portoricensis bite is
