build_kernel
is the master builder. If needed, it will download the cross com-
pilers needed to compile the kernel (linaro [
http://www.linaro.org/
]
is the current
cross compiler). If there is a kernel at
~/linux-dev
, it will use it; otherwise, it will
download a copy to
bb-kernel/ignore/linux-src
. It will then patch the kernel so that
it will run on the Bone.
After the kernel is patched, you'll see a screen similar to
Figure 7-2
,
on which you can
configure the kernel.
