New 'X' desktop is beaglebone:1
Creating default startup script /root/.vnc/xstartup
Starting applications specified in /root/.vnc/xstartup
Log file is /root/.vnc/beaglebone:1.log
NOTE
This solution assumes that you are logged in to the Bone as
root
. If you just started
tightvncserver
without
sudo
, the VNC would be running as
root
, which could cause
some problems, because some programs (such as the Chrome web browser) won't run as
root
. This example uses
sudo
to run
tightvncserver
as
debian
.
To connect to the Bone, you will need to run a VNC client. There are many to choose from.
Remmina Remote Desktop Client is already installed on Ubuntu. Start and select the new
remote desktop file button (

).
