Figure 4-12 shows how the unipolar stepper motor is wired a bit differently than the bipo-
lar.

Each coil is split, so you can access the two sides separately. The difference between the
five- and six-wire steppers is that the five-wire steppers have the two power lines connec-
ted to each other. The different wiring means a different energizing sequence, as seen in the
different states array.
