Creating
a
BPEL
Process
in
Active
Endpoints
Designer
Problem
You want to create a simple BPEL process within a graphical designer.
Solution
Run Active Endpoints Designer and drag and drop some basic activities into it so that you can
test deployment. This will give you a feel for the round-trip working cycle.
Discussion
Navigate to the location where you installed the designer and run the designerexecutable. It
is based on Eclipse, so dealing with a workspace and general navigation should be familiar.
To get started, create a new orchestration project by selecting File→New→Orchestration Pro-
ject. This will create a set of folders that you can use to store your orchestration designs, as
shown in
Figure 9-17
.
