After executing the application, check the Google website to make sure that your portfolio
was added. The update is instant, adding “My Restful Portfolio” to the list, as illustrated in
Figure 8-1 .

Atom is a lightweight, powerful, and standard way to interact with resources on the Web, and
the Google applications illustrate how to create invocation flows that follow best practices for
resource representation, request/response for following links, and ease of use.
