Viewing operation details
You will find that the management portal for SQL Database includes some interesting options, such as the ability
to sort batch statements by total resource consumption, CPU, or I/O. You can also quickly locate certain operations,
such as warnings and scans, by selecting the appropriate icon on the left side. And you can also switch the display
of the execution plan to a simple list or a nested list by clicking on the top right icons without rerunning the T-SQL
statement. Figure

shows the same execution plan as shown in Figure
11-5
, sorted by CPU and zoomed in all the
way; it shows that the Clustered Index Scan is the operation consuming the most CPU resources on the server.
