Reservations
Booking a room is not essential outside peak periods, but during the shoulder and low
seasons, you can get discounts of up to 50% off daily rates if you book online, through
a travel agent or with the Hong Kong Hotels Association , which has reservation
centres on level 5 of the airport.
Taxes
Most midrange and top-end hotels and a small number of budget places add 10% ser-
vice and 3% government tax to your bill.
