Finding a venue in Shēnzhèn for anything from a quiet drink to a raucous knees-up after a
hard day of bargaining is easy. There are upmarket bars galore below Citic City Plaza (,
Zhōngxìn Chéngshì Guǎngchǎng), at Coco Park in Fútián and SeaWorld (, Hǎishàng Shìjiè)
in Shékǒu.

International and local indie bands play almost every night after 10pm at this warehouse-
turned-bohemian-haunt in OCT-LOFT. It's a pleasant place with large glass panes, a soaring
ceiling (from which chandeliers hang) and velvet armchairs placed next to brick walls. Dur-
ing the day, it's an upmarket cafe.

Sandwiched between a garage and a hair salon near the entrance of Crown Technology Park
(, Huángguān Kējìyuán), this loft-like bar is where local and foreign indie bands play every
weekend from 9pm. Run by young musicians, it sports eclectic furniture and paintings dis-
played on bare concrete walls.
At the metro exit, turn right and walk to the end of the road, then make a left. You should
see the park entrance on your right after two minutes.

A huge warehouse-turned-cultural space that morphs into a live house when there are no ex-
hibitions going on. It's located on the north side of the Block B10 in the northern section of
OCT-LOFT.
