reels and tapes, as well as magazines, posters and scripts. There's a small exhibition hall
(opening hours vary) and a cinema . Check online for exhibitions and screenings. From the
MTR station, walk north on Tai On St and west on Lei King Rd.

This museum occupies a knockout location in the Lei Yue Mun Fort (1887), which has
sweeping views down to the Lei Yue Mun Channel and southeastern Kowloon. Exhibitions
in the old redoubt cover Hong Kong's coastal defence over six centuries. There's a historical
trail through the casemates, tunnels and observation posts almost down to the coast.
As you leave the MTR, follow the signs for the museum on Tung Hei Rd for about 15
minutes. Bus 85, which is accessible via exit A3 and runs along Shau Kei Wan Rd between
North Point and Siu Sai Wan, stops on Tung Hei Rd outside the museum.

LAW UK FOLK MUSEUM

law-uk-folk-museum.html ;14 Kut Shing St, Chai Wan; 10am-6pm Fri-Wed; Chai Wan, exit B)
This teeny museum occupies two restored Hakka village houses that have stood in a district
of office buildings, warehouses and workers' flats for over two centuries. The courtyard and
bamboo groves are peaceful, and the displays - furniture, household items and farming im-
plements - simple but charming.
