In-Depth Information
Sheung Wan West of Soho, Sheung Wan is an increasingly hip hood with some lower-key
cocktail bars and trendy speakeasies.
Wan Chai While Wan Chai remains a byword for sleaze (and a long-standing port of call for
American sailors and GIs since the Vietnam War), it has cleaned its act up of late. Much of
the western part of the district offers lively, respectable bars, although hostess bars still line
Lockhart Rd.
Old Wan Chai Inland from Wan Chai around Queen's Rd East behind the tram tracks, Old
Wan Chai is becoming another little epicentre of fine dining and sophisticated drinking.
Tsim Sha Tsui If you head back from the bustle of Nathan Rd there are some nifty little bar
areas, such as the karaoke bar scene around Minden Rd and the food-and-drink ghetto along
Knutsford Tce in the north of Tsim Sha Tsui.
