In-Depth Information
range from 10 6 to 10 8 cm/s. Ono and Oda [61,62] conducted further research on the
formation and structure of the primary and secondary streamers in the pulse
corona discharge system, as well as the spatial distribution of ozone density. For a
multi-point-offset structure with a pulse width of 100 s and gas gap of 13 mm, it
was found that the ozone density stopped increasing after 100 s since the pulse
discharge operation. The reaction rate of O+O 2 +M=O 3 +M was 3.5×10 34 cm 6 /s.
Experimental results uncovered that ozone mainly appeared in the secondary
streamer channel; this observation suggests that before ozone spreading to the
other zones, most of ozone is generated by the secondary streamer. Moreover, the
ozone diffusion coefficient was calculated to be 0.1 - 0.2 cm 2 /s.
2.4 Summary
This chapter provides a brief introduction on the principle of simultaneous
removal of multi-pollutants using ozone. In addition, the physical and chemical
properties of ozone are summarized. Ozone generation methods and a summary
review of ozone generated technologies with discharge plasma are also provided.
